Welcome to our third blog post!

After enjoying some sunny weather and some of us went on vacation, we are fresh and ready to get back to it! Here we will give you an update on what we have been up to since our last blog.

Improvements and fixes

- UI and UX updates for building houses
- The second floor of a house now dynamically changes when the first floor changes shape
- Fixed graphics settings (so the game doesn’t crash when you change them)
- Fixed some currency and resource issues
- Fixed wall textures for the inn
- Trading with and between Eylanders works (again)!

The island

A very important update! We are currently in the process of changing the ‘level’ (the floating island) the game takes place. At first, it was rather simple and a little boring. So we decided to add extra floating island, which you can travel to by jumping or building bridges. Since the Eylanders can’t jump, you will eventually need the bridges anyway. These floating islands can contain certain biomes where you can collect specific resources.

The inn

Here it is everyone! The inn! Doesn’t it look beautiful? Complete with hanging sign painted by the hardworking Eylanders themselves.

Animations

Now that the inn is done, we are busy with the new workstation! And with a new job for Eylanders to fulfill, a fitting animation has been made. Look at Steve here, hard at work! Can you guess what workstation we will be revealing soon?

Tutorial

A good game has an easy to understand, fun and non-experience breaking tutorial. We have started to implement our first tutorial steps to show players what they can do in our game. Show them the ropes as it were. We are still experimenting a bit on what to introduce to the player first but we will figure it out through testing, testing and more testing!

Thank you for having an interest in Towns of Yore

These blogs will be posted every month. The second blog will go more in depth about what our team has been tweaking, changing or adding to the game! We hope you will join us again.

It would really help us if you could wishlist the game: click here
